FAQ

How do I play?

Each level shows a grid and a stated rule. Most cells follow the rule. One cell breaks it. Tap that cell, then tap ACCUSE. If you're right, your streak goes up. If you're wrong, your streak resets to zero.

What does "NO LIE" mean?

From case 80 onward, some puzzles have no lie at all — the game is telling the truth. If you've checked the grid carefully and every cell follows the rule, tap NO LIE instead of ACCUSE. Tapping NO LIE on a puzzle that does have a lie counts as a wrong answer.

How do I select multiple rows in "No two rows are identical"?

Tap the rows you want to include. The selection is additive for that rule — tap a row to add it to your selection, tap it again to remove it. You can select either one or both of the duplicate rows; both are accepted.

Why doesn't the rule explain the color cycle?

For "No cell breaks column color cycle," figuring out the cycle order is part of the puzzle. Look at any complete column — the order top to bottom shows you the cycle. Then check every other column for the cell that doesn't fit.

Can I reset my progress?

Yes. Open the pause menu and tap RESET PROGRESS. Confirm the reset and you'll return to case 1. Your best streak record will also be cleared.

Does the app collect any data?

No. Liar's Grid stores all your progress locally on your device. The app makes no network requests, contains no analytics, and does not include any tracking. Read the full privacy policy.

Will there be more rules / a daily mode / leaderboards?

Maybe. We're listening to feedback. Email us with what you'd like to see.
